Farewell Beloved

Gone are the days of our sweet love,
No more the promises remain,
The promises of staying together
Have now been washed away by rain-
A rain of misunderstandings as I understand.

We held each other's hands dear love,
But no more the kisses remain,
The sensuous kisses that bound us
Have now become a source of pain-
A pain of happy yesterdays and a sad today.

Those days are gone and now my love,
No more my love do you remain,
So farewell for now and forever
Never again shall we be insane-
Insane in love,in deep,chaste,hapless love.
